Autonomist Community

You are a member of an autonomist community either nestled inside of a larger community or started in a rural area. Autonomism's basic tenets are as follows: autonomy from traditional institutions; self-management; direct democracy; prefigurative politics; and work refusal. Historical examples of autonomous communities, such as those found in Italy during the 1970s, worked to provide housing for those in need, free schools, free clinics, radical bookstores and cafes, alternative policing and conflict mediation, and food distribution and cooperative kitchens. How long can you survive before the State displaces you?
